Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her writing and design. She is a proponent of animal rights. Ali MacGraw is known for movies such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. She grew up in an artist family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in arts. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, and after that she moved on to modeling and acting. Her first two movies were noticed and she received an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw was a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. She was named the best box office star in the world after only three releases. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were engraved in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures is her autobiography which was published in the year 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
