Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has been awarded Emmy Awards. She hosts the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. It is scheduled to air for 27 more seasons. Ina began her writing career by writing nuclear energy policies and budgets to the White House. After initially finding the job intellectually stimulating and exciting, she soon became bored. Barefoot Contessa was then bought. After more than 18 years of making her business a massive success, she sold it, and then began creating her first novel. A number of other books and magazine articles followed. Meanwhile the Food Network show was also a success. Additionally, she offers everything from equipment to cooking tools and storage containers. Ina, who is self-taught she has never attended a culinary school or in a hotel. Her name is known for her effortless approach to entertainment and simple cooking.
