Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and has Chinese roots, but her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from a Southern family. Her parents divorced when she was only the age of two. She was raised by her mother as well as her stepfather who is an United States Air Force officer. Her primary residence was Tokyo, Japan, even though the family moved around often. When she was in Japan, she appeared as an actor in local theatre performances, and later turned into an Japanese fashion model. Olivia was able to move from Japan to Los Angeles when her family had moved back in her home in the United States to follow her ambition to become an actor. Following a series of minor performances, Olivia achieved success after she was cast in the role of Mily Acua on the Hawaii filming of the TV series Beyond the Break 2006 and as the receptionist of Rob Schneider. She hosts "The Daily Nut" as well as"Formula D" on G4 "Formula D" podcasts on G4. She is a fan of surfing, something she has been practicing since the television series Beyond the Break (2006). She also holds a blackbelt in Taekwondo. At the age of 2000, as she was two years old of age, her mother remarried. They have relocated several times, but she was a majority of her youth in Tokyo Japan due to the fact that it was where her father was stationed. The university she attended was at the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major, with minors in Japanese and dramatic art.
